Sydenham Group Practice is a General Medical Practice with a modern surgery at the Elliott Chappell Health Centre in Hessle Road, Hull.
Please follow national guidance on Covid-19 Coronavirus and do not come to the surgery if you have symptoms or live with someone who does.

If you require GP advice or other non-urgent help from the practice, consider using our our online portal in the first instance - or contact the surgery by telephone if you do not have access to the internet. If clinically needed, a face to face appointment will then be scheduled.

In recent months we have seen a rise in the numbers of patients attending and being admitted to our hospitals with Covid.
As part of the national policy of living with Covid, and in line with recent NHS guidelines, from October 2022, the requirement to wear a masks on practice premises is reinstated.
This also applies more widely to the NHS in all clinic, ward and outpatient areas where mask wearing has been re-instated. Visitors will be instructed to wear a mask on entry to a ward or clinic.

COVID-19 WHAT TO DOMost patients with lasting symptoms after Covid-19 will be managed by their GP. If symptoms have not improved after 12 weeks, patients may be referred to a new service. The Long Covid Triage and Assessment Service brings a range of health professionals together to ensure that patients with more complex rehabilitation needs are referred to the correct clinical support pathway. The BMA have released information to explain to patients why their doctor is working differently after facing the covid-19 pandemic. Despite lockdown measures being lifted, the pandemic is still not over. Face to face contact has been limited across all NHS services to protect you and to keep you safe from the risk of infection.
